Although some things have changed throughout the years, the majority of the original Red Wing Traditions remain. The very first Red Wing Team wore moccasins. The moccasins could not hold up in the wet weather and soon after the first white boots became part of the traditional uniform. The Red Wings still wear the fringe, white boots, and fishnet hose as well as carrying the red and white boxes. The kick line is still going strong, as well as the New York, New York routine, performing at the Harvest Moon Festival, guiding, walking with hands on hips, tryouts in April, and Marching Auxiliaries camp, just to name a few.
